By Faith Alone is an exciting journey through the Reformation, a pivotal moment in Christian history. Players will take on the role of one of the key Reformers of the period and spread the Reformation across Europe; planting churches, strengthening them, winning nobles to their side, opposing heresies, and staying ahead of the Pope's efforts to stop them.
By Faith Alone is a cooperative or solo game that plays in roughly 30-40 minutes and is played "against the game." The Reformers win if they're able to spread the Reformation to every country on the board and place at least 65 churches.
Meanwhile, the game will try to stop the players by spreading various heresies that were common in this period, using period rulers and theologians to oppose the Reformers, and may even have the Reformers killed. The longer the game goes, the harder it becomes to win, creating a tense race against time.
