Comrades and the Commissar

1963: in an undisclosed location in Soviet Russia, a team of rocket scientists work to design a new engine. Leading them is a Commissar - a mix of military general and chief of police, with all the powers of both - who has orders to ensure the project is completed on time and to root out any traitors on the team. Unfortunately for the scientists, an undercover Americanski spy has made his way onto the team and will be doing his best to ensure a working engine is never completed. The clock is ticking, and Glorious Leader won't listen to excuses...

Comrades and the Commissar is a hidden identities game for four to eight players. During the game, players pass hands of cards to each other blind and must trust each other's instructions to play the right cards at the right time. With careful teamwork, the science team can achieve their goal of building a new rocket engine; but one player, the Americanski spy, is secretly working against the team! They're allowed to lie and cheat, ignoring rules the science team has to follow. The spy has to watch out, though, as one player is the Commissar and has the power to arrest and eliminate other players!

Comrades and the Commissar is designed to be played several times in a sitting, with each game taking about 15 minutes once the players are familiar with the rules.
