This is the winter version of the game. There is also a summer deck. And a set of two decks without dice counters.
COZY HUT
“I have my own sun, moon, stars, and a little world.” — Henry D. Thoreau
About the Game
In The Cozy Hut, you build a secluded hut deep in the forest and spend several months there, leaving behind the troubles and burdens of modern life. Long ago, the writer and philosopher Henry David Thoreau did the same: he lived alone in the woods by a pond called Walden for two years, two months, and two days. With his own hands, he built a small hut, planted garden beds, made a stove, and sealed the cracks with moss and clay. He brought from town only nails, lamp oil, and books. The world of nature and solitude gave Thoreau many wonderful discoveries — and the manuscript of what would become his masterpiece, “Walden, or Life in the Woods.”
Inspired by this beautiful book, this game invites you to capture the spirit of philosophical tranquility. Following in Thoreau’s footsteps, you will build a small forest hut in search of warmth and inner peace. Perfection and comfort are not the goal here — something will always be missing. Your aim is a cozy hut: a place with a minimum for the body and a maximum for the soul.
