Description
Crowns and Commerce is a game in which players assume the role of wealthy merchants in a medieval setting. Four Nobles vie for crown in the absence of an heir, creating an opportunity for a canny Merchant to obtain a title. Players seek to amass wealth by aiding or impeding the four major Trade Guilds to gain wealth and assets they can use to curry favor with the Nobles. The Noble who obtains the crown will bestow a title upon the wealthiest of her trusted followers.
In this game, players take turns simultaneously, and can work cooperatively or competitively towards victory. Additionally, if players don't actively check the spread of Crime periodically, all players can lose!
