The monster cards can be used in conjunction with the mapping game by mixing the monsters you would like to encounter into your encounter deck before beginning a game. Only include the monsters with the encounter number matching the tokens in the encounter pool, or your quests will be more or less challenging than intended. The cards can also be used as a reference to the monsters and monster's abilities, so you will always have them to hand when you're playing D100 Dungeon.

The enemy hides in the darkness. If thou art lucky they won’t find thee, but they always do; because thy lantern is a beacon to the eyes watching from the shadows. The light is thy doom, yet without it thou art is lost.
