Description

This is a fast, fair, and more rewarding system than a standard 1D20 roll in a RPG. This is
1 Card 20 ( or 1C20 for short ). It is a
system for combat, skill tests and mental health damage that generates a better probability for a good outcome.
It is divided into two primary decks. The Combat Deck and the Shock Deck. This
Combat Deck is shuffled and place in the center of the players. When a skills test
comes up such as combat or traps or anything that requires a player to use
the stats to decide the outcome of the situation. The system is designed to have a much smoother probability curve compared to a standard D20 system. The system has a built in 50/50 rule as well so that is a player has to flip a coin or has a decision to make, the 1C20 can make it easy for you. The System also allows for bonuses( such as additional damage, bonus to next draw etc...) and penalties ( such as negatives to damage, to future skill checks etc...) that are built into the deck itself. This deck simplifies and streamlines checks and combat. The bonuses can be made translated into anything the Gamemaster wishes in any RPG system without altering the Fuction of the game or Deck.
The shock system can be removed or used in conjunction with the 1C20 system.

The Shock Deck is kept to the side to be drawn from when the situation calls for severe
stress on players that may result in a loss of mental stability. When a player must draw a Shock Card the system gives the players a way to track the mental strain that is placed upon the character by ranking the shock levels in a simple 1,2 or 3 draw to illustrate the breaks and side effects caused from extreme stress. The Shock can also be used to tabulate and keep totals of the amount of stress that is stacked on the character. Again, all in a simple and streamlined design. The C20 Diceless System Can be used in any RPG as a substitute or in addition to what you are currently using. It's all up to the Gamemaster and Players.

The Deck even comes with a quick reference card for the bonus icons on the cards drawn.
