Dragonrider Tournament

You and your team have been selected to participate in the annual dragonrider tournament. You have honed your dragonrider and magical skills so your team will become the dragonrider champions in this years tournament and many that will follow. With your team you have acquired a stable of dragons. Each member of your team will ride one of these dragons in the tournament and, as a team, you will try to defeat other teams.
You have made it to the semi-finals. If you win this round you move on to the finals and if you manage to win that as well your team may call themselves the dragonrider champions for a whole year and are added to the hall of fame.

This is a cooperative game where all players together form a team of dragonriders. The players team will compete with other dragonrider teams whose actions will be controlled by the game system. If your team wins two rounds it has earned the dragonrider championships title for a year.
At the start of the game you create your characters and acquire your dragon stable. You then choose which attack pattern you will use for your first round in the game. The opposing dragonrider team is determined and a tournament round will start.
You have a number of action cards which will dictate what you and your dragon can do when you get your turn. This can vary from making a direct blast attack on an opponent to healing a wounded dragon of a teammate and various other actions. You won't always have the opportunity to do what you would like to do or take the action that is best suited to your abilities, so you have to make the best of the actions you can take. An aerial dragon fight can be somewhat hectic after all.
If all dragons on one side have been defeated the remaining team has won the round. If this team is the players team they continue to the final round. If they also manage to win this round the players have won the game.
