Dreamer: Bad Night

In the Dreamer card game, you were the architect of someone’s dream. But in this first expansion of that game, Dreamer: Bad Night, you are the architect of someone's nightmares.

Dreamer: Bad Night is not only an add-on to the basic Dreamer game, it’s also a stand-alone game for one or two players.

This expansion has the same rules as the basic game: A random Dreamer card is chosen for the entire game. Each player then chooses their own random Dream Blueprint card, which tells the player how to build a dream. Not just a dream - a nightmare!

A nightmare will have a combination of three of the four Dream Elements: Ominous, Surreal, Nightmare, and Night Terror.

You and your player proceed to build dreams using the Dream Builds cards. Each nighmare must contain a Dream Character card, a Dream Item card, and a Dream Setting card. You may even get a Dream Superpower card to aid your dream build.

You can gather the Dream Build cards from the cards in your hand, by choosing one from the Dream Vault, or by choosing a random Dream Build card. You can block your opponent by discarding a Dream Build card you have.

Once you complete your nightmare according to your Dream Blueprint, take a new Dream Blueprint to create a fresh nightmare.

But beware, there are Event cards that affect the Dreamer card in their “real world”. This could affect the nighmare you are building or even wake up the dreamer, which ends the game!

The architect with the most nighmares wins!

Dreamer: Bad Night is a card game that can be played alone or with a friend. It can be played cooperatively or against each other. There are optional rules, including shorter and longer games, and other ways to win. And remember: not only is this a game in itself, it is also an expansion to the basic Dreamer game.

Dreamer: Bad Night Build your nightmare.
