Duelist Legacy

Duelist Legacy is a fast paced monster battling micro card game that pays homage to the classic TCGs of the early 2000s. Summon units, cast spells, and activate your trap cards as you relive the golden age of trading card games.

The game runs on an extremely simple and easy to learn ruleset that veteran TCG players will get instantly and non-TCG players can quickly adapt to. No extremely long rule book, you can start playing in minutes!

This is not a TCG business model that requires you spend hundreds of dollars on booster packs and singles, Duelist Legacy creates a product that lets you relive the experience of playing a TCG but without the life-style level of time commitment a standard TCG often requires of its players. It relies on a system of prebuilt decks that belong to a "Duelist" which are the characters you embody when you play the game.

The Duelists have decks and play patterns built to mimic archetypal play patterns you will find in traditional creature battling TCGs. This specific product features the timeless "Aggro/Beat Down" vs "Control" match up.

The game is filled with references to a bygone era of cardboard and magic but the ruleset is simple enough that it is perfect for introducing non-TCG players to the genre.

All of the art and game design was done by me as an homage to my favorite genre of game.
