A White Elephant party, dressed up for the holidays. Until someone steals your gift.

Elephante turns the classic gift exchange into an auction. Every player gets Cookie Dough cash to bid on gifts, steal from friends, and gamble on Naughty or Nice cards. The included party invite lets the host set the rules before anyone arrives, so nobody argues about them at the party.

Two Games in One Box

Auction is the main event.

• Everyone starts with $3 in Cookie Dough cash.
• On your turn, you can buy a wrapped gift, open one and let the room bid on it, steal a gift for $2, or draw a Naughty or Nice card.
• Bidding is out loud. The first player to yell an amount holds the bid, and anyone else has to go higher.
• If you steal a gift, the owner gets your $2 and picks a Merry Mayhem dare for you to perform.
• Anyone who ends up holding two gifts becomes a Greedy Gift Grubber. They keep one and regift the other to a player without a gift.

Traditional is the bonus game.

• It is the classic White Elephant swap that most people already know.
• Steal limits, steal-backs, and the final swap are chosen as house rules on the invite, so the group agrees on them ahead of time.

Naughty or Nice

For $1, you can draw a card. Nice cards protect your gift, trade it, or give you extra cash. Naughty cards cost you money, send every gift around the room, or put you in the spotlight. Keep your cards secret, and bluff as much as you like.

Merry Mayhem

The game includes twelve silly dares, such as reindeer dances, Santa voices, and stomping off like Scrooge. They turn every steal into one of the best moments of the night.

The rulebook includes a fill-in invite, and a free fillable version is available as a download on this page. The host chooses the game, the house rules, and the gift limit, then sends it to the guests. Everyone shows up knowing the rules.
