Expedition: Beyond

"Expedition: Beyond" is a solo RPG card game that beckons players into a realm of untold adventures and perilous exploration. The heart of the game lies in the creation and progression of individual characters, represented by Character Cards. These cards encapsulate vital attributes such as Body, Mind, and Spirit, shaping the character's resilience, willpower, and spiritual fortitude.

The core game mechanic revolves around countering Threats in encounters by making plays with cards, and Glyphs, such as Action, Cunning, Fight, Lore, Magic, and Navigate, determine the success. Characters progress through levels, gaining attributes and playcards as they do so. The dynamic attribute system influences a character's hand size, token limits, and special abilities.

Encounters, essential to the narrative, are varied and include combat scenarios, puzzles, and challenges. Each encounter consists of Threats, which require the matching of Glyphs to overcome, and Perils, representing negative conditions that affect characters if Glyphs aren't matched.

Strategic planning, thoughtful card selection during character creation, and effective hand management become pivotal for success. Expeditions, settings, and encounters add layers to the narrative, while the carefully crafted rule set ensures a nuanced and immersive gaming experience.
