Fast Drive Football - FAC Edition (Full Game)

This is the full "boxed" version of Fast Drive Football FAC Edition. There is a "FACs Only" version also available on The Game Crafter that does not include the box or other "non-FAC" game materials.

Fast Drive Football (FDF) FAC Edition is a one-player, tabletop simulation of American Pro Football. It's a "drive-by-drive" game, meaning that instead of simulating each individual play, you are simulating one possession at a time. Games take about 15-20 minutes to play once you learn the rules.

FDF is unique in that most results are driven by team qualities - not precise numerical statistics. This approach allows for the development of a more colorful narrative than other drive-by-drive tabletop football games. The game engine was designed to ensure that teams perform as they did in real life, but also to allow for the occasional surprise that keeps you coming back to roll just one more game.

How is the FAC Edition different than the original Fast Drive Football?

This edition replaces the dice rolls and chart look-ups in the original game with a deck of Fast Action Cards that speed up gameplay and simplify game timing. Changes also include:

• Each Drive Result FAC has the drive time printed on the card. There is no timing die like the original version of the game.
• Timing of the pro game has changed from the original 1-minute and 15-second increments (or “ticks”) to 30-second increments.
• Some Drive Result FACs have a dice-driven “split” result to keep the statistical integrity of the original game.
• The game was designed so that keeping a scoresheet - primarily to keep track of game timing - is no longer required. The deck of Drive Result cards doubles as the play clock, with each card representing 30-seconds of game time. When the deck is exhausted, the half is over.
• Team boutique ratings are driven by the card number of the Drive Result FAC instead of die rolls. The game includes a conversion table when playing the FAC Edition with original format team cards.

In this full version of the FAC Edition, you get the box, rules booklet, Unusual Results Charts, and complete set of Fast Action Cards. To play a game of Fast Drive Football with the FAC Edition, you will still need to provide a couple dice and FDF team cards.
