Rules

Count how many players there are. Then, take that many assassins (blue cards) and targets (red cards) out of the box. Make sure each assassin you pull has a matching target.

Shuffle the pile together and spread it in the middle of the table face down. Each player picks 1 assassin card, and 1 target card.

Players can see their own hand, but no one else's.

The owner of the game goes first, then goes clockwise.

Each player takes 1 action on their turn. You have 3 options:

Inspect: Pick a player's assassin card or target card. They reveal it only to you, then they conceal it after you understand what it is.

Trade: Pick a player. Trade with them either your assassin card or target card.

Assassinate: Pick a player to assassinate. They are eliminated if your target card matches their assassin card, OR if they have them self as a target. Both players can see each other's hand for proof, but no one else.

When you assassinate someone, your new target becomes the target of the player you assassinated, unless they had them self as a target.

After successfully assassinating someone, you go again. This can repeat an unlimited number of times.

If you attempt to assassinate someone, and your target card does not match their assassin card, OR if they don't have them self as a target, you are eliminated. Discard your assassin card from the game and reveal it to everyone. Whoever had your assassin as their target reveals it, and discards it from the game. Their new target becomes your old one.

The final player remaining wins the round, gains a victory card (yellow), and goes first the next round. The number of rounds depends on the number of players shown below. The player with the most victory cards at the end of the game wins.
