Gaggled is on the surface a fast-paced easy to learn bidding game.
In reality Gaggled is a strategy card game that becomes more challenging and rewarding with every round and every new game.
Why would this be?
At its core, Gaggled has balanced gameplay. Similarly to chess, each player starts each round with identical tools for success. Where things become increasingly interesting initially is what strategic skills each player brings innately. As the game progresses adaptability is king. Those who cannot adapt strategies, will begin to consistently lose. A strategy that won one round will not likely do so again. Like poker, card counting and an ability to read people become increasingly essential. What started out as a simple card game about building a gaggle of geese evolves into an intellectually satisfying war of the minds.
What separates this card game from the rest?
What makes Gaggled unique compared to most card games, is that it gives each player the exact same start. Most card games start with RNG (random number generation, basically a randomized and unbalanced start) and then each player has to then face more RNG. A bad hand may determine your fate before you even have a chance. Gaggled does things differently, it starts each player with the same level of opportunity and then adds RNG to the mix as the game progresses.
