How to Play

Use your Points to summon a variety of different creatures to accomplish the simple goal of destroying your opponents portal.

The intent of the game is to reduce your opponents portal health to 0. This is done through the use of both creatures and artifacts. The full rule document can be downloaded on the side bar and is free for all who want to download it. If you see any typos or information that is lacking please feel free to reach out.

Each turn you will gain a certain amount of Points that can be used for either effects of cards or to summon creatures themselves. This is a turn based card game much like that of Pokemon, Magic, Hearthstone and Yu-Gi-Oh so if you have an affinity for any of those games you may enjoy Gates.

ABOUT

Welcome to the Gates of Amalgam! You appear to have come into possession of a Gate. My congratulations to you friend. These Gates you now have access to connect you to the Amalgamous Plane. This plane of existence connects all of human subconscious to create all forms of creatures and artifacts. Its actually quite impressive if you think about it, but I digress. You're here to figure out where your part in all of this is. As one who has access to a Portal you will need to be very careful as there are several others out there with the same ability to use Gates as you.

You can get involved

Gates of Amalgam has been designed as a CTCG (Community Trading Card Game). Notice a type of card or effect that's missing, feel free to pitch the idea. If I can balance it and make it work within the game not only will it be implemented but you will get a small credit on the bottom of the card stating it was of your design.

The involvement does not have to stop there either if you enjoy drawing and want to sketch your idea feel free and I can attach an effect to it. Finally if you just want to follow development and join in on play tests you can do that as well!

Future Plans

You will notice that this is called the "Alpha" set. This is because it is not the official Series 1. This is a collectors edition that will only be available up until the point of Series 1 which should release sometime during 2023. You will know it is an Alpha set card as it has the alpha insignia next to its number. Fear not though all these cards will be implemented into Series 1 so if you don't get exactly what you want fret not.

What comes in a pack

All Booster Packs come with 9 common, 5 uncommon, 3 Rare/Ultra-rare/Diety and 1 portal. There are no duplicates per pack.
