Gnomadic Gardeners

Gnomadic Gardeners is a pocket-sized engine-builder for 1-2 players. Deploy gnomes and recruit enchanted animal assistants to complete tasks at the community garden. But plan ahead: Gnomes are "gnome-torious" for their free spirits, and any that you use will join your opponent's hand for the next round!

Gameplay

The central dilemma in this game is how greedy to be. To win, you'll need to anticipate what your opponent will probably play.

The game proceeds in rounds. During each round, you will try to score bliss by completing tasks for the food bank. A pair of task cards defines the current round’s 3 tasks, including the requirement and reward of each task.

Each round:

1. Players place at least 1 gnome face-down on the table, then simultaneously reveal their cards.

2. Every gnome has a preparation time, and the player who has a lower total preparation time gets to resolve first. During this resolution phase, players claim and fulfill tasks, scoring bliss (victory points) and recruiting animal assistants that will accelerate scoring. If you get too greedy and play too many cards, your opponent will finish tasks before you can.

3. Any cards that were played become the opponent's at the end of the round.

By running a well-staffed team, fulfill tasks to supply the local food bank and score 77 bliss to win.
