Description

The icicles are dripping away. The first red cardinal of the year briefly lands at the empty bird feeder and is then gone leaving behind only a few chirps of disapproval. Before you know it, the yellow lilies will be blooming.

———————————————————-

In this limited-engine, card-placement game, two to four players create their own aesthetically pleasing skylines of clouds and rainy weather. The Clouds Cards produce Raindrops that players collect and use as currency or die rerolls. Players compete to buy sets of Seasons cards to increase their end-game scores.

One of the Cloud Cards near the bottom of the deck is the Groundhog Card, immediately ending the game. Players then add their points through Season Card sets, Goal Cards, and banked Cloud Cards.

On a player’s turn he/she can do one of five actions:

1 Catch unclaimed Raindrops from Clouds of a chosen type

2 Spend Raindrops to buy Season Cards to gain 10-point sets

3 Take a Cloud Card

4 Bank a Cloud Card for an end-of-game point

5 Place a Cloud Card on your Weather Strip to create Raindrops

These actions can chain into other actions depending on if the number on the card (played, purchased, gathered from, or banked) matches the forecast die.
