Homeward is a cooperative, fast-paced card and dice game that will test your decisiveness and ability to work together. Do you and your team have what it takes to build a ship and make it home?
--------------------------------------------------------------------
On a distant colony world, the worst case scenario is unfolding: the entire planet is about to be destroyed. The elite have taken their private ships and escaped, leaving only those who aren't important enough to have heard the news, namely you and your crew of ship builders. While you have no ships handy, you do have a warehouse full of parts. Time to build a ride and get back home.
The game starts with the building phase. Your team has three minutes to construct a working ship out of parts drawn from the Equipment deck. The kind of ship you build is entirely up to you, but the decisions have to be unanimous. If even one member of the team disagrees with a part going on the ship, it goes in the discard pile. If, at the end of three minutes, your team has built a functional ship that has enough thrust to get off the ground, you escape the exploding planet and move on to phase two!
In the second phase, three random cards from the Challenge deck are drawn, face down. These challenges will test the strength and abilities of your ship. You may face horrifying aliens, enemy ships, or even the awesome power of a collapsing star. If your ship is worthy enough to survive these challenges, your crew returns home to see their families again on Earth.
Good luck!
