A deck of 52 collectible cards as featured in the narrative life sim I Was a Teenage Exocolonist on PC, Switch and Playstation. In Exocolonist every card is a memory of a choice you made or event in your life, as you grow up on a beautiful and sometimes quite fraught alien planet.
These are the same cards from the PC game, brought to life in the real world with slightly modified values and rules for a quick yet tricksy one-player tabletop game.
The cards feature art from 33 different artists, two rules cards, durable UV Coating, and a cute tin carrying case.
I originally designed these cards as promotional items to hand out at gaming events like PAX, but now you can own the full set! I'm currently selling them at cost for you true fans out there. <3
The rules: shuffle the whole deck and draw seven cards, then choose five of them to place in a line. The goal is to score at least three stars by having three of the following:
total card values 20 or above
two of the same number side by side (** for four of a kind)
three of the same color side by side (** for all five)
runs of 1-2-3 or 3-4-5 or 0-1-2 etc (** for 1-2-3-4-5)
The tricksy part comes from text on the cards themselves, which can change the cards beside them, or change themselves depending on where they are placed. You'll have to check your work and reorder them a few times to get it right, but it is usually possible!
You can play through the entire deck this way and tally up your total stars, or challenge a friend to trade off the same hand of seven cards and see who can find a 3-star solution the fastest.
