Kastellet

If you wish to purchase these games apart from that collection, you'll also need to order the following parts from The Game Crafter's store in order to play:
1 red, 5 black, 5 white large bowling pins
2 red, 4 black, 4 white small bowling pins
6 black, 6 white wooden discs

Kastellet is an intriguing game of abstract strategy, patented in the 1890's. The game actually begins with both players having influence over the board's central hex, and is lost when one player loses that influence. Features include several kinds of pieces and movement for each player, and a neutral piece that can be used to bar your opponent from using a hex for the rest of the game.

Included on the reverse is Queen's Guard, a classic dating back to 1843, also played on hexagons. To win you've got to move your Queen to the throne and protect her with your Guards, but there's a rival faction, and captures do not remove pieces from the board!
