Kobolds?

If a lizard and a rat had children, kobolds would be the offspring. You know, it wasn't long ago they kept mostly secret in their caves. Some unlucky miners just so happened to be mining in a kobold cave and boom, the kobolds erupted. With the power of explosives and an appetite for anything that makes a bang, these creatures started warring between their own factions. Not many venture into those parts anymore: it's riddled with the nasty creatures.

The Objective:

Your goal is to defeat every card on your opponent's battleground to win. You do this by using cards from your hand to attack hidden or revealed kobolds from your opponent's battleground.

What's this game about?

In Kobold Ka-Boom! you play as a kobold faction warring with another faction. Players quickly create their battlegrounds and begin using their kobolds against each other. A kobold scout can see potential threats and neutralize them, medics can restore defeated kobolds, champs can hold their own on the battlegrounds and bombs are the choice weapons in this war. Don't forget about all the other kobolds you will use as fodder: every kobold has a purpose.

How To Play:

Each player creates their play area. This area is comprised of a battleground, a draw deck, a discard pile area and cards in hand. The battleground is setup randomly from your deck. You place 15 cards face down in front of you. Who starts? The person who imitates the sound of an explosion the loudest! It's up to the other player to reveal and defeat your face-down kobolds. This "fog-of-war" style setup allows for quick tactical thinking and using cards from your hand wisely. Make sure to use your Champs for fortifying your battleground or taking out heavy hitters on their battleground. Medics can return a defeated kobold back into your hand or even be used as an attacker. Scouts are weak, but can defuse bombs. When taking turns, you have to be ready to reveal opponent bombs and use bombs on them as well. It's a kobold bombs kobold world. Get to bombing!
