The lands of the Old World had collapsed. The ceaseless wars and ravishing hosts had used up all it had to offer. The drought of resources only accelerated the bitter determination to seize what little left there was to take.
Life in the Old War was on the verge of extinction, if notby hunger then by the blade. The two most powerful warlords of the land, spellcasters that had advanced far beyond the level of warlocks, knew thisbetter than most. For the first time in centuries these two put aside theiranimosity and drew a truce. They combined their talents to summon a channel toanother world that could feed them. But being enemies for so long, theyunderstood they would never be able to contend with one another. So theydevised a contest. The channel to this untapped land - a world full of forestand metals, with food for their bodies and souls for their magick - would beawarded to just one of the warlords through a contest. They would split thechannel into two portals on opposite ends of the New World and send theirarmies through them. Whichever side was the victor would claim the land foritself.
The creatures of the Old World learned of the truce andrealizing what was at stake, they put aside their differences and swore theirallegiances to a Warlord. Now the portals have been open. Two endless armiesawait to raze the pitiful inhabitants of this New World and crush theopposition.
As your warlord’s most trusted lieutenant, you will lead the offensive in the New World and deliver victory or face death!
In Legions of War, you will build an army and use it to Conquer towns in a race against your opponent. Your Legions, made up of various Clans, will each offer their own unique ability to aid you on this difficult mission.

Assembly Phase This is when you stack Clans together to make deadly Legions. Will you build a Legion of dangerou Orcs and giant Cyclops to overwhelm your opponent? Or maybe the instead the situation calls for a fast and agile team of Trolls ans and Goblins to make a tactical strike?
Attack Phase Roll dice to conquer towns and destroy your enemy's armies. Leverage your units special abilities to amplify your damage. Imagine the fear of your opponent as you show up at their town with a legion of giant Cyclops that roll 8-sided dice and a Warlock with a 6-sided die, but more importantly , lets you reroll any one of them!
