What is Mobius Chess?

Mobius Chess is a Chess variant which allows for up to 4 players to enjoy a well balanced strategic romp. The game is set up in an infinitely spanning cross shaped chessboard where players set up at opposite ends. The rules are the same as Chess except pawns can go forwards and backwards along their current track and you have 2 rows of pawns, one on either side of your court.

How do I set it up?

Simple, the starting areas are indicated on the board, and the order is exactly the same as in regular Chess, except you have 2 rows of pawns, one on either side of your court.

How do I play?

The rules are exactly like Chess, with the following exceptions:

1) No piece, with the exception of Knights, may pass over the red and pink squares without stopping.

2) Inside of the red and pink squares there is no forward or backwards! In this area Pawns work like Kings, and Bishops and Rooks work like Queens!

3) You can still promote a pawn if it reaches the court row of an opposing player.

4) The player who chose Blue will go first, and play proceeds clockwise.

5) Pawns must move away from their court row, and may be queened if they reach an opposing court row.

6) The board loops around from start point to start point as shown in the yellow line on the board. You now have multiple fronts!
