Once a year, the mountain awakens. its shifting paths challenge the racers. Stretch your wings and master color. The summit waits, venture and gather
In Moving Mountains, take the role of dragons racing to the summit of a living mountain. Collect different-colored gems along the way, while adapting to paths that never stay the same.
Each turn, draw tokens from your bag. Combine chips and rings, move your dragon, mix colors, rotate entire levels of the mountain, and improve your future turns by cleverly purchasing your next tokens.
Only the dragon who masters color, timing, and terrain will reach the summit victorious!
Be the first player to collect all six different-colored gems and reach the summit of the mountain.
Each round consists of two phases:
1. Drawing phase: Simultaneously draw a number of tokens from your bag. You may feel the shapes — chips or rings — but the colors remain unknown.
2. Playing phase: On your turn, place tokens onto your player mat to perform actions. Placed tokens are committed and cannot be changed, but feel free to rethink your strategy as much as you want before you commit.
Chips move your dragon to adjacent spaces of matching colors.
Rings rotate entire levels of the mountain, shifting paths and gems.
Combined tokens allow color mixing, buying new tokens, or increasing future draws.

When your turn ends, used tokens are discarded, and the mountain is ready for the next dragon.
-A fresh twist on bag building: You choose your shapes, not your colors
-Color theory as a game mechanic: Mix colors to unlock movement and reach otherwise inaccessible paths.
-A truly dynamic board: Rotate physical layers of the mountain to change the game state for everyone.
Moving Mountains was designed on the Game Crafter for the Pool Building Challenge in january 2026.
I would like to thank Opera Scura who allowed me to use her clever VISI color method to make this game accessible for colorblind players

The pictures from the Game in Action section are currently taken using homemade components, as my game has not yet reached Finland.
Due to time constraints for the contest, part of the art is currently AI generated.
