Penguins & Polarbears

Penguins & Polarbears is a social card game with elements of memory, bluffing and drafting that plays in 5 mins!

Try to collect the most penguins by drafting safe piles and avoiding polarbears who will scare your penguins away.

The first player then starts by playing a card from their hand face down to any pile, or face up to start a new pile. Play proceeds clockwise with all players doing the same until everyone has played all their cards.

Players know that some of the cards played will be polar bears, and knowing where they are is vital in choosing the right pile at the end of the round.

At the start of their turn a player may move their player pawn down the Scout track in order to peek at the top card of any pile. To do this, they first decide if they would like to rotate the pile or not. Then, another player pins the card down by placing one finger on the igloo icon on the back of the card. The active player then lifts the card and looks at the bottom of the card.

This unique "pin and peek" mechanic keeps some information hidden and unpredictable. Though you may want to keep your hyper-competitive siblings away from this one if you can't trust them not to damage the cards!
