From the 1500s to the 1700s, Pirates roamed the Caribbean, competing with each other and the colonial powers from Europe for land, loot, and fame. Will you choose to compete as an honorable colonial Governor, an opportunistic Privateer, a tightfisted Merchant, or a bloody Pirate?

Use Gold to buy Ships and Upgrades, raid opponent’s Islands and protect yours to earn Loot. Collect enough Loot in your conquests to become the richest power in the Caribbean! During your conquests, you'll have to take some risks, but with some shrewd purchase decisions on what to buy, brilliant battle tactics on how to organize your Fleets for action, nefarious dealings with your opponents, and crafty plans on where to hide your hard earned stash of Loot, you're sure to come out on top!

I’ve always loved card games. From the simple to the painfully intricate, playing card games is just plain fun. I set out to create something easy enough for anyone to understand, but with elements of complexity that would keep me interested forever. It’s from that idea that Pirates! was born.
