Portal Geckons

The Portal Geckons are masters of energy science, but they do not partner with just anyone. Travel across a colorful chain of portals, gather the precise Energy Wafers requested by each Geckon, and prove that you have what it takes to reach their hidden realm.

In this fast-moving game for two players, each explorer follows their own seven-portal path, rolling a marbled neon die to collect dark green, yellow, and fluorescent green Energy Wafers. The journey leads toward a mysterious white portal—but reaching it is only part of the challenge. To open the way, you must have the three specific wafers requested by the current Geckon, plus five additional wafers of your choice.

Complete the required combination and the Geckon will transform your eight wafers into a highly condensed form of energy known as Stellar White Mass. Claim the Geckon card and a gleaming Stellar White Mass Star, then begin gathering energy for your next potential partner.

With changing card requirements, limited wafer supplies, and a rival explorer racing through a parallel portal path, every turn brings a new decision: collect what you need now, or build a reserve for the Geckons still waiting to be discovered?
