Description

A crackling sound thunders across the Spirit Lands... After the eruption of a deep inner quarrel, you—a great spectre—have SPLIT IN TWO! What ensues is a mighty conflict between your opposing halves: the light and the dark. As you battle it out across the Spirit Lands, territories (cards) are claimed in the name of one half. Others, though, are rendered uninhabitable—destroyed! Whichever half dominates the Spirit Lands will have the power to forge a new spectral identity. Who will triumph: the light or the dark?

Split Spectre is a complete game that fits neatly into a handsome little tin. Players move their pawns over cards and roll dice to see who can either capture or destroy the most! Split Spectre is fast-paced and fun! Games are rather quick... but the replayability is high!

A demonstration video is in the works, though we at Glenn Caveart Games had to publish the game in time to celebrate the lunar eclipse! ( 12:20am 3/14/2025) (Which ties into how I got to making this game... that story to be shared later :)

We are extremely satisfied with the quality of the game cards and components as manufactered by the Game Crafter. This high quality game should last and look good for a long time!

Well, we hope you enjoy Split Spectre! We've got more games in the works, so check out glenncaveart.com to stay updated!

P.S. A note from the designer: If you have purchased a copy of the game, thank you! As time moves forward I am finding points I may like to improve. There may be card graphics updates and a few gameplay mechanics revisions later on. One thing I would like to address is that on some surfaces it can be awkward or difficult to pick up and turn the cards over. Here are two possible solutions: pinch and physically bend the cards from opposite corners to lift up their middle, and then grab the raised part as to then lift the card. OR, each player holds one of the instructions cards and uses that to pry up the playing cards. It's usually an issue with smooth hard surfaces (and if like me, you don't have fingernails!). Thanks
