A deadly virus has broken out in the city. It spreads quickly through person to person contact and everyone is afraid of each other. The Government has established quarantine centres for those who have been infected, however, as fear grips everyone, healthy people are being locked away. Can you avoid the virus? Can you avoid the quarantine? Will you give in to the stigma?
Stigma is a secret social deduction game for 6- 18 players. It replicates the stigma that is experienced when others are affected by illness. The object of the game is to avoid being infected by the virus and to send the carriers of the virus to quarantine. If you send healthy people to quarantine or use all your actions before sending all virus carriers to quarantine, the game is over and the virus wins.
There are 2 things which make this game different; he first is that this is a secret social deduction. This means that all talk during the game can only be whispered between 2 people (infectious diseases is not the sort of thing to be discussed in polite company). This eliminates the loud aggressive discussions and alpha gamers that often spoil social deduction games.
Second is that Stigma has a "one-shot" action mechanic. This means you only have one action to quarantine suspected virus carriers or force others to reveal their status. You must choose your actions wisely as you only have one shot. This eliminates payers who blindly accuse others without any thought or strategy.
