Description

Sus Town is an exciting and kid-friendly discussion game where players take on secret roles as villagers, werewolves, and other mystical characters. The goal? For the villagers to identify the hidden werewolves before the werewolves capture them! This game blends social deduction, strategy, and interactive storytelling, making it a fun and educational tool for kids to develop their communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

How to Play: In Sus Town, players receive role cards at the start of the game, secretly identifying them as villagers, werewolves, or other special characters like the Seer, Witch, or Hero. The game is played in two alternating phases:

  • Night Phase: During the night, everyone closes their eyes, and only the werewolves open their eyes to secretly choose a villager to capture. Other special roles, like the Seer, Bodyguard, and Witch, also take their actions during the night without revealing their identity.

  • Day Phase: When the night ends, all players open their eyes, and the moderator announces whether anyone has been captured. The villagers then discuss and try to deduce who the hidden werewolves are. Players share clues, offer their opinions, and vote on who they believe to be a werewolf. If they choose correctly, the werewolves are banished, but if they’re wrong, an innocent villager could be removed from the game!

Why It’s Useful for Students: Where? Wolves isn’t just a fun game—it’s a valuable learning tool that helps students develop several essential skills:

Critical Thinking & Strategy: Players must use clues, listen carefully, and analyze the behavior of their classmates to uncover the hidden werewolves. This helps improve problem-solving and logical reasoning.

Teamwork & Collaboration: As villagers, players must work together, building arguments and forming alliances to figure out who the werewolves are. The game encourages cooperation and listening skills, as players share insights and try to convince others of their opinions.

Persuasion & Argumentation: Both villagers and werewolves need to craft convincing arguments—whether it's defending their innocence or misleading others. This fosters public speaking skills, as students must clearly express their thoughts and reasoning.

Acting & Role-Playing: With special roles like the Seer, Witch, and Hero, students get to immerse themselves in role-play, developing their creativity and confidence in acting out their character's actions.

  • Why Play in a Classroom: Playing Sus Townn in a classroom setting encourages group interaction, builds a sense of community, and promotes engagement. As students work together or compete, they learn to think on their feet, work collaboratively, and express themselves. The dynamic nature of the game keeps everyone involved, making it an excellent tool for enhancing social and emotional skills alongside academic development.

Whether for a fun break or a structured classroom activity, Sus Town adds an element of excitement and helps students learn through play!
