Tesserax Wars by Andrew Simon Thomas
Tesserax Wars is a spatially based strategy game where 2-4 players compete to take over a dynamically generated galaxy. Using the mysterious power of the Tesserax Warp Network, players will transform the galaxy by drawing cards from the Tesserax deck and placing them sequentially over board. Ships maneuver via a network of wormholes and gates in order to eliminate opponents ships and conquer all the planets. One player wins by controlling all other opponent’s homeworlds.
In the dark days of the early galaxy, species stumbled through space with slow-moving ships. Travel could take years—and should by chance one ship discover another, they’d inevitably engage in a fight. One skirmish would lead to a battle and turn into a long, bloody war.
Then, four alien species discovered the mysterious and powerful Tesserax granting them the ability to control a network of wormholes powered by black holes. They each decided they must be the only one will such power. Therefore, they began a new type of war—The Tesserax Wars—in which they manipulated the placement of the Tesserax Warp Network to maneuver a fleet of ships across the galaxy and seize the others homeworlds. Only then could the Tesserax be safely in their control.
