Description

That Game is basically one giant dad joke. No one really wants nuclear waste, crying babies, or rusty needles. In That Game, players don't want those things either, but their opponents are trying really hard to make sure they get those things and lots of other undesirable things.

In this quite literal take that game, the object is to have the fewest points.

That Game is playable by 2-8 players and takes roughly 20 minutes to play.

⚠ BRIEF HOW TO PLAY ⚠
Downloadable rules are included below.

Separately shuffle the WHAT and the THAT Cards. The WHAT Cards tell players what to do. The THAT Cards are the things that the players are collecting (or rather trying not to collect).

Deal each player 2 THAT Cards and place them face-up in front of the player. These are the players' starting collections.

In the middle of the table, place 3 rows of 3 THAT Cards face up. These are the table's THAT Cards. Place the remainder of the THAT Cards face down off to the side.

Off to the side, turn over 1 WHAT Card for each player and one additional. For example, for a 3 player game, turn over 4 WHAT cards. Place the remainder of the WHAT Cards face down in a pile off to the side.

⚽ PLAYING THE GAME
The person with the most lint in their belly button goes first and play will continue clockwise. He or she picks one of the WHAT Cards and does whatever it says. For example, if the WHAT Card says to take a THAT Card, the player picks a THAT Card from the table. Once the player completes the action, the WHAT Card is placed in a discard pile.

If a player removes a card from the table's THAT Cards, the card is replaced with one from the THAT Card pile.

Once all of the face-up WHAT Cards are taken, a new set is turned over and play continues. If the WHAT Cards run out, shuffle the discard pile and start over.

⚽ END OF THE GAME
The game ends when there are no more THAT Cards to choose from the table.

Players add up the value of all their cards (subtracting any combo points). The player with the lowest score wins.
