Reincarnation. Ghosts. Gender. No longer shall he hide.
Positioned between the worlds of tarot, autobiography, dreams and reality, Edgar Aldric Purviance's autobiographical tarot deck will deconstruct everything you thought you knew about the nature of reality.
Struggling against the linear experience of time, this series of texts are presented out of order... and yet this is their true order.
This deck may confuse as it informs. There is no knowing without coming undone. With the right frame of mind, you will understand, but it will drive you mad to know. Beware.
A masterwork of nonlinear storytelling, The Edgar Aldric Purviance Story features 130 autobiographical incidences, delusions, dreams, visions, prophecies, and ideas.
Shuffle the deck and use it for divination for your own life's journey. If you dare.
From the author: "The autobiographical tarot deck's text is designed to spark remembrance of your own stories. You might also find the images suggestive. It can be a lot to sit with. You might sit with it the same way you'd sit with a book. You will especially like this project if you practice bibliomancy.
The reader is meant to use it like a tarot deck, but it requires a clever ability to associate one story with another of your own. And sometimes it might not bring up a memory, so the card would be suggestive of potential themes. Hypothetically, it's just as useful as a tarot deck, but it's a totally different reading experience.
There seems to be nothing like it in existence."
