Description

Why do White households have ten times as much wealth as Black households? Why are people of color far more likely to experience homelessness than White people? The purpose of the game is to help you understand why such disparities exist in a fun, interactive way. You’ll experience how housing policy in America has been biased for 100+ years because of race, ethnicity, income level, and unfair laws. You’ll also learn of solutions to the housing crisis. This game has been played since 2017 by graduate students, high school students, and people of all ages and backgrounds throughout the US. You’ll read first-person stories of how unfair housing policies affect people’s lives and explore how it feels to be privileged or discriminated against.
