Traders Treasure

Traders Treasure is a fast-paced, strategic trading board game for 2–4 players, ages 12+, that combines resource management, negotiation, and geography. Players start with unique resources and a trader in North America, choosing tariffs before placing their first token. Each turn, they roll dice to harvest goods like people, food, minerals, and transportation cards. These cards fuel expansion—buying new traders, acquiring extra travel points, and moving across borders to maximize resource collection. Hidden economics cards—ranging from Cargo Ship to War or Deal Maker—add surprises that shake up tariffs, allow theft, or trigger regional events. The goal? Amass 5 gold cards first by making shrewd trades, forging alliances, and seizing market opportunities.

Setup

• Set up the board in the center of the table.
• Place the resource cards face up is seperate piles next to the board
• Shuffle up the Economics cards and place them face down next to the resource cards
• Each player will choose a color "Black, Blue, Red, and Yellow"
• After choosing a color, grab your color of 10 Traders, 1 Card Clip and 1 Cost Card

Once you have collected all of your pieces, take the card clip and choose a tariff. Theirs a %10, a %30 and a %50 tariff.

Once all players have chosen a Tariff. Players will now place their first trader token.

Once you have decided on a country, choose what resource in that country you want to place your trader on. Once you place your first trader, this trader can never leave this country. This is your main country, all new traders you get will start here.

Now that everyone is ready to begin, all players will draw 1 Transportain, 1 People, 1 mineral and 1 food

Game Start

The youngest player will start and play continues Counterclockwise. At the begining of your turn, you will role the die and see if you collect any resoures. Here, player Blue rolled a 3. So they collect a Transportation card and player Blue collects an Oil card.

Buying traders is huge in being successful in this game. Traders cost 3 people and 1 food card. Any new traders MUST start in the same country as your original trader

The Economics Cards are placed face down at the begining of the game (Where the arrow is pointing)

They cost 2 People and 1 Food card

There are 7 diffrent Economics cards available

Winning with Riches

Your goal is to collect Gold throughout the game

For a 2 player game you will need to collect 10 Gold to win, 3 player game is 6 Gold and a 4 player game is 5.

Quick Turn Recap

1: Start by rolling the die

2: Collect any resources

3: Trade, sell, move, and/or buy

4: Sell to the bank once per turn (Optional)

5: End turn by passing the die to the left
