Description
Shuffle the cards and deal each player 7 cards.
Put the remaining cards in 9 roughly equal face up stacks. Also put the score tokens nearby.
On each player’s turn, draw four cards from the face up stacks. Then, either form a sentence from cards in the hand, or discard one card back onto one of the face up stacks. Then play proceeds to the left.
To form a sentence, reveal the cards and read the sentence. The sentence should be grammatically and mathematically correct, and should contain a trigonometry fact—no sentences like “the reciprocal of 1 equals 1.”
Then put the cards in a face down stack in front of the player. Take a score token and put it on the cards forming the sentence. The first four sentences get a “1”, the next three get a “2”, the two after that get a “3”, and the final sentence formed during the round gets the “4”.
The round ends when the tenth sentence is formed. Then sentences are scored.
Each sentence is scored by subtracting 2 from the number of cards and squaring the result—so a 5 card sentence would be worth 9 points, but a 6 card sentence would be worth 16 points. The value of the score token is then added.
A player’s score for the round is the total of the points for all the sentences they formed.
