War for Wunkardia

Prove that you are the rightful ruler of the land.

Wunkardia may be a small kingdom, but its resources and beauty make it highly desirable.

War for Wunkardia is an area contol game in which two players compete to control the most areas in the kingdom.

On each of your six turns, simultaneously place one unit on the map after rolling a die that limits your choices to three areas. At the end of the game, the player in control of the most areas wins the throne of Wunkardia!

How to Play

Gather your components

Both players need 6 small counters and 1 die

Game Play

1. Both players secretly roll their dice.
2. After looking at their own dice, players look at the board to find which areas contain matching dice icons. They then choose one of those locations in which to place one of their units. Players simultaneously show fingers declaring where they will place that unit.
3. Both players place their unit.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 until all units are placed.

Game end

Resolve each area on the board by removing equal units from both players until only one player's units are left.

1. Start with the sky. Move the remaining sky units to the forest or the mountains. Sky units act as support for the forest and mountain areas.
2. Then, remove equal units in each of the other areas.

Winning the game

The player controlling the most areas (not including the sky) wins the game.

Variants

• Play for the best two out of three games.
• Use one larger counter that is worth two units. The large counter may not be played in the sky.

War for Wunkardia is one of those games that is fun in its simplicity and in its quick head-to-head competition in which you attempt to out-think your opponent. It's an easy game to play several times in a row and scratches an itch that's bigger than the game's physical size.
