Wizard Bane

Backstory of the current state of the fantasy world of Wizard Bane: The continent of Avania is in need of heroes! The New Dawn is a growing movement seeking to abolish all magic, becoming the bane of all wizards. The Wizard Council is attempting to unite the kingdoms into a coalition to bring stability to the world. Meanwhile the Heretics Vampire Clan, led by a seductive temptress, sees their chance to enslave the world and bring about a golden age of darkness. A long forgotten prophecy disregarded as an obscure poem holds the key to life and light or death and destruction.

Wizard Bane is a fantasy role playing game with strategic combat. Your character(s) stats will determine how much equipment they can carry, how well they use and are affected by magic, and how well they perform with the weapons they wield.

In Wizard Bane there is no dungeon master. You and your friends create your own characters, scenarios, and stories!

Wizard Bane also comes with more than 40 hex terrain pieces for designing your own maps!

Create your own characters and assign a faction perk

Characters may be aligned with a faction, great house, or kingdom in the game. Doing so may grant them one or more perks. For example House Triae magic users tend to be better than most because of their specialized magic schools; while House Groth characters have the opportunity to be trained in infiltration techniques making them better scouts. Or are you from the ranks of the undead? Do you wander the world filled with an unquenchable hunger seeking to mindlessly strike down the living? Or do you seek to add the living to your undead army of minions?

Different systems for melee, ranged, and magic combat

Create the character(s) you want! Different rules and dice rolls for melee, ranged, and magic strikes. Will you have a barbarian who specializes in getting up close and personal? An archer who is an expert sniper and skilled with a dagger? What about a magic user who deals out pain and destruction? Or will you be a magic user who lends support? Will you stay back casting spells to help your allies while hindering your foes?

Wizard Bane ships with twelve fantasy miniatures made up of eight(8) different miniatures.

Rare Equipment

Wizard Bane uses cards to implement a rarity system for special/advanced equipment. In the world of Wizard Bane there is common, readily available equipment characters may use. There is also special, or advanced equipment, players may equip their characters with if their character's Renown value is high enough and if the card is available.

Characters who survive game play may be upgraded with better stats, new traits, and better equipment.

The world of Wizard Bane cannot be tamed by one all-powerful warrior, archer, magic user, or even a vampire. Your character will excel in some situations and fail in others. That is why Wizard Bane is a fantasy squad-based RPG. Your squad of adventurers will need to work together to survive and complete the quests you embark on!
