Hello Community

Happy March! We're in a pretty good place right now. We're mostly caught up on the huge backlog of orders that hit us in late 2020. We've made major improvements to our game editor, shop, and website. We also updated our help documentation and created a series of new tutorial videos. Our team has been encouraged by all of the positive feedback and project photos you've shared. Keep up the good work and we will do the same! :)

Update on Production Queues

We're pleased to report that our production queues are in a good place and games are flying out of our shop! Right now our regular production queue has an estimated ship date of about a week and our bulk queue is approximately 2.5 weeks. It's likely that game conventions will resume this fall/winter so we're expecting heavy order volume in the weeks and months ahead. It's a good idea to get your orders in now and beat the rush.

New Tutorial Videos

We retired the old game editor and have fully moved to the new one. To help you get familiar with the new editor, we created several tutorial videos. Here's a brand new video we created that teaches how to publish your game on The Game Crafter shop:

Other New Tutorial Videos:

We have more tutorial videos in the works and we'll share them on our news blog, social media, and in this newsletter. Please let us know if you have suggestions for other tutorial videos we should make.

Art Tests

Art Tests allow you to gather anonymous (and therefore unfiltered) feedback about the artwork in your game. The Game Crafter community will be shown up to 10 images of the artwork from your game and will be asked to rate it on prettiness and functionality. They’ll also be given an opportunity to leave comments on each image. In the end, you’ll have 100 opinions about your artwork. It can tell you what is good enough, and what needs more work.

It costs 15,000 crafter points to get your artwork tested. For that cost, you’ll receive back a report with 100 opinions of your artwork. In addition, if you score at least 70 on the test, you’ll receive an art test accolade for your game.
