This gameset does not come with any printed rules or player mats. We can probably not deliver such items to you as efficiently as you can for yourself. Which you will want to do anyway, just to ensure you always have the latest Living Rules. Indeed you may not even want printed rules at all if you are able to read them on a mobile device. If this seems strange, think about it. All "paper" is delivered on-line now: newspapers, magazines, computer manuals, insurance, banking and tax information, etc. This isn't a games problem; it's a paper problem. Should games really be any different? Let's all save a tree.

In addition, the Green Edition substitutes for all wooden cubes the lower cost 8 mm translucent, acrylic "ice cubes", passing the savings along to you. See examples of these attractive cubes here:

Important Note: This is an expansion kit for the Founding Fathers board game, which is required to use this product. It is fully compatible with the previous Founding Fathers: Offices & Statesman and Founding Fathers: Ladies & Orators expansion kits.

ABOUT FOUNDING FATHERS: CIVIL WAR & THE GILDED AGE

The Civil War and the three amendments that followed have been called the Second Founding. With this Founding Fathers: Civil War & the Gilded Age - Green Edition expansion kit you no longer need to stop at the Civil War. Instead, continue on to face the tough challenges of the War Between the States and beyond, including:

• Transcontinental Railroad
• Rampant corruption
• Industrial action
• Spanish-American War
• The Great War

These are just some of the elements in a new narrative to weave.

In addition, this set adds the Variable Outcome cards that provide more random outcomes for major war events, including several in the base game.

• 2019 November 22 - Green Disks. We have been able to return to using green disks.

• 2019 September 13 - Green Disks. Because TheGameCrafter is out of green disks, and will probably be for some time, we have replaced them with white disks. This has absolutely no effect on play. If however, you want to get green disks when they become available we explain how to do that here.
